25 Ways to stay Happy!

I have managed to come up with TWENTY FIVE whole ways to keep happy! I hope some of them work with you when you wake up and realise you have to go to school or work! Phewee that took a while….

  1. Smile for five seconds at least every day. If you already do this, then aim higher.
  2. Listen to your favourite song for a while with your eyes closed.
  3. Eat healthily. You may want to just eat crisps and chocolate, but after a banana and whole grain breadsticks (I love them 😉 ) you will feel doubly as ready for the day!
  4. Don’t watch TV, get up and do something productive, even if you have to force yourself to finish that half completed burger cushion….
  5. Do something that you enjoy, like visiting the park, or a museum, or the shops.
  6. Think of the reason you are sad/don’t wanna go to school at all and then think of three things you are happy about and looking forward to! 
  7. Wear a bright happy colour-it has been proved to make you feel happier!
  8. Watch someone tell you a joke or do something that makes you laugh, go on, we can see that little grin coming…!
  9. Sleep more and hopefully you will feel ready to get up and do whatever that day!
  10. Drink water lots-it has so many benefits the list is taller than me. 🙂
  11. Read a book instead of checking your notifications on your phone every minute. It will make you more relaxed, and thus happy.
  12. Do something creative, like sculpture making or sewing…you will feel happy with what you have created!
  13. Think happy thoughts. It’s as simple as closing your eyes and imagining yourself on a peaceful island, sitting on the beach with the slow waves rolling back and forth…this honestly will send you asleep!
  14. Try something new every day, whether it’s a new recipe, technique, hobby or outfit, you will be so happy in yourself that you have done so many amazing things!
  15. Meet up with a friend You haven’t seen or spoken to in so long!
  16. Think why you are sad, (for example because of work or school) and realise it isn’t a big deal, and you can do fun things afterwards!
  17. Get into cosy pyjamas and a blanket, grab a hot drink of hot chocolate and watch a funny movie…nothing beats that!
  18. Turn off your devices for a few hours and do something else, it will make you feel happier!
  19. Make someone else laugh, when they smile, it will make you smile!
  20. Have a yummy hot meal you love for tea, pizza sounds good to me!
  21. Wear your favourite outfit, or buy a new one you love, go on, treat yourself.
  22. Read some inspiring happy quotes from Google, there are some great ones to motivate ya.
  23. Surround yourself with happy people, I know you’ve heard it a million times before, but if people are miserable grumpy and complaining, go chat to that person smiling and laughing over there!
  24. Read a great magazine, a good magazine is so interesting to read, maybe read a comic too!
  25. Finally, think you are great! And if you think happy, you can be happy! 🙂
