DIY Spring Cute Things!

Hey there Busy Bees!

I hope you’ve all had a great weekend, today I have put together a few little Eastery/ Spring DIYs to organise and cuteify your workspace this Spring! This post is actually a collab with Randomly Maggie, so definitely check out her post, as she also did Spring DIYs! ❀

I have honestly fallen in love with these super easy and cute makes that are simply perfect for Spring! I loved making and designing them all, so let me know which one is your absolute favourite!

Here is how to make some Spring themed DIYs!…

DIY Baby Alpaca Headphone Organiser

This little alpaca is perfect to hold your headphones, instead of them getting all tangled up all the time!

You Will Need…

  • Paper/card (plain)
  • Paintbrush
  • Brown and white acrylic paint
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Cardboard
  • Pen (fineliner)
  • Tape

How to make it…

Firstly, you want to mix a light brown colour (or you could make grey or even cream) with a paintbrush, then apply it to a bit of paper in a rough shape of an alpaca, so with wooly edges!

Tip: Make the face a few shades lighter, so you can tell the difference.

Leave to dry!

Next, cut carefully around the shape with scissors. You should be left with a cloud like edge.

Then you can glue the paper down on to cardboard.

Carefully cut around the alpaca, being careful not to cut the paper…

You should be left with this!

For the next step, use a black fineliner (or brown) to add the details. I outlined the face and body, then also added some happy eyes, a nose, mouth and wooly lines.

Now cut out a big semi circle that is just bigger than the top of the head, along with two little rectangle/semi circle things, and two little ears!

IMG_8792IMG_8793

Then glue or tape the two little shapes to either side of the alpaca’s head, and then the semi circle on top of that. (This is on the back of it)

You can also stick the little ears on the top- I put one to one side for extra cuteness! πŸ˜‰

To make the headphone holder bit, cut a little strip of cardboard, which you can then cover or paint, and fold it somewhere along the line.

IMG_8796IMG_8797

Glue it to the alpaca tummy- and use a little bit of sticky velcro or blu tac to keep the headphones secure! Yay!

I think it looks just perfect on my wall for Spring! What do you think?

DIY Mini Flower Crown/Wreath

Is there anything more Spring than a flower wreath?

IMG_8834IMG_8833

You Will Need…

  • Thin wire/pipe cleaner
  • Scissors
  • PVA Glue
  • Tissue paper
  • Green card
  • Brown card/paper

FullSizeRender(211)

How to Make it…

First, cut a length of wire and make a circle out of it. You can twist the ends around to secure it, don’t worry about it looking messy- most of it will be covered with leaves anyway!

IMG_8807

Now make some little roses by getting small bits of pink or red tissue paper and scrunching them up.

Also, cut some leaves with scissors carefully, making sure they’re not TOO big for the wreath.

IMG_8808IMG_8809

For the next step, you’ll need a lot of patience…! Use PVA glue to stick the leaves to the wire. Let the glue dry.

IMG_8810IMG_8813IMG_8811

And of course don’t forget the teeny roses!

This DIY is so easy, but I love it so much, it’s so delicate and pretty! You can swicth up the size or colours easily too.

DIY Chick Treat Box

Perfect to hold chocolate and yummy things!

FullSizeRender(213)

You Will Need…

  • Small juice carton (washed)
  • Scissors
  • Paintbrush
  • Yellow acrylic paint
  • Black pen/black paper
  • Orange pen/ orange card
  • Glue
  • Orange fineliner

IMG_8816

How to Make it…

First you are going to need to make the top level. Use scissors to carefully cut across the carton.

IMG_8817IMG_8818

Now use acrylic paint to cover the entire thing in yellow paint. I actually ended up having to cover it with plain paper first because yellow wasn’t a strong enough colour to cover the writing underneath.

Leave to dry completely.

IMG_8819IMG_8821

You can then cut out two black eyes and an orange triangle as a beak. Use glue to stick them down.

IMG_8822

Finally, use an orange fineliner or felt tip to draw tiny little V shapes, like fur! All done!
