25 Ways to Green Your Home 🌡 (+printable!)

Happy Tuesday Everyonee!

I love going πŸ’šgreenπŸ’š and saving energy, power, water…whatever it is- with little things that if we all did would make a big difference! And I also love planting things, keeping succulents and cactuses (get used to it, I prefer it to ‘cacti’! πŸ˜‰ ) so when I had the idea to make a post about turning things green- in both ways- I was so excited to write ittt!

So I’ve made a whole list of things you can do to make your home more green- or add more greenery to it! I hope you enjoy it, and let me know which number is your favourite!

  1. Buy a small cactus, plant it in a pot and sit it on a windowsill!
  2. Read an adventure book
  3. Draw a treehouse in a huge tree
  4. Make a hedgehog house!
  5. Find a pile of old magazines (or from a charity shop) and cut out pictures you love to make a Green Journal full of greenery and plants you love+ things you’ve done that are GREEEN!
  6. Make something out of a cardboard box or rubbish
  7. Make a mini Greenhouse Garden!
  8. Bake some no-bake recipes!
  9. In the evening- turn off three lights that were on for no reason every day!
  10. Use a notebook to plan out some blog post ideas
  11. Write a story…adventure, sci-fi or even mystery?
  12. Recycle your old batteries found around the house
  13. Make your own paper as a project!
  14. Use eco bulbs (energy saving) instead of ordinary lightbulbs
  15. Make a bee house in the garden
  16. Stop buying bottled water and save plastic!
  17. Take a travel mug (thermos) with you when you leave the house, instead of using a plastic disposable cup
  18. Dig out your cosiest and fluffiest fluffy socks when it gets cold! (we all know you have them at the bottom of the drawer…!)
  19. Upcycle an old t-shirt!
  20. Make a magazine about anything you love (it could even be about green things!)
  21. Turn your brightness on your device right down whenever you are using it! (*lowers brightness to dimmest* πŸ˜‰ )
  22. Make an inspiration book!- Get a notebook and fill it with any ideas you have or magazine cuttings/images and doodles! You will never need to look online for ideas again!
  23. Reblog this post to give more people ideas! And share your own ideas if you have any ❀
  24. Raise and donate money for a charity you love (this could be wildlife, the environment or another charity you know)
  25. Unpluuug and do something different instead of using electricity!

If you want to, use this image below I created for a phone wallpaper, profile image, on your blog or for whatever you like!

  3. I like #25 the best. We spend far to much time using electronic devises and electricity. Not only is it bad for the environment, It doesn’t help ourselves either.
    Thankyou for this post πŸ™‚
I feel that people need to be aware of he issues o global warming and the amount of waste that goes on and this post is one step closer to raising peoples awareness.

Reading through, my mum and I do so many of these things πŸ™‚ You should see the amount of cardboard boxes I’ve salvaged for numerous reasons XD

      1. Focus on keeping her alive (no asking expert dad for help) and then if she survives you get a new one, and then you keep getting cute ones and become a crazy plant lady like me haha

      1. I would love that! (Boy, I say ‘love’ a LOT when I come on this blog!) I mean I get the basic idea of it but seeing someone else do it would make it really clear and I’ll know what kind of stuff to put in, how to lay it out, etc!
