DIY Faux Cinema Light Box!

Heya how you doing lil bears? πŸ™‚

I love how these little cinema light boxes look- so I really wanted to try one for myself! Aand really wanted to make it into a box to hold stuff which I think worked preddy well and I had a go at it and I think it was quite fun and easy so I’m hoping you enjoy it πŸ˜‰ Also let’s just talk about how I’m eating nutella toast and it is the best thing ever right now! (there I go getting distracted as usual)

Hope you enjoyy!..

You Will Need…

  • Cardboard/cardboard box
  • Plain paper
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • Clear plastic (find this on packaging and stuffs like dat)
  • PVA gluey
  • Tape
  • Sharpie/permanent marker

How to make it!..

Firstly, to make the box find a small cardboard box and cut off the top for the perfect size:

Then get a sheet of paper and wrap it around the box like you’re wrapping a present sorta! Secure the paper to the box with tape.

Now you’re going to want to cut two thin strips of cardboard long enough to wrap around the box (so I recommend you cut them lengthways) carefully like soo:

Glue them to the box with a tiny bit of PVA in the centre of the strips all the way along and leave to dry!

You can also fold the edges and wrap it around, glueing along the way.

Then get the plastic and cut some tiny little rectangles that are as tall as the gap between the two strips of cardboard (see the pictures below)

…aand use a permanent marker to write on some letters in the cinema style πŸ™‚

Then all you have to do is tuck the letters in between the strips and you’re donee! (I actually then covered the cardboard strips with white paper and just glued them down)

What do you all think? I’m pretty happy about how it turned out and you can fill yours with lots of bits and bobs! ^-^

Yayayaya have a lovely evening everyone!! Let me know what you’re up to and stuff ❀
