DIY Mini Stocking Filler Ideas

(whoops I missed two days of Blog ‘O’ mas *sorryy*)

Happy 18th December and Day of Blogmas festive bears. It’s a week til Christmas and soo time to crack out the ol’ stockings! (why am I writing like that teehee) So I’ve collabed with the AMAAZING Rosinalee to come up with a few ideas for you lovelies to get inspired by. Yes, all the festive feels are here πŸ˜€

DIY Name Bunting

This is the cuutest to fold up and pop in a stocking for a friend!

Ignore the fact I didn’t notice one of the pinecones had fallen off( (fail)

Materials:Β

String, cardboard, sharpie (or permanent marker), Tape, pinecones or leaves, bits to stick in between

How to make it…

First, use scissors to carefully cut out some bunting shapes from cardboard (enough to spell out a word or name, maybe a festive message? Or even put photos on each flag)

Then use some tape (mine is masking tape) and fold it over the string to attach the flags to the string. I also added pinecones and faux leaves to add some decoration in between! Theen don’t forget to use a sharpie to write on the flags.

DIY Tiny Zines

I’ve made a blog post on these, so read it here, but for a stocking filler you could make a more personalised version, with photos and memories, or make a fun festive version with lots of Christmassy pages and puzzles or stories.

Materials:

Cardboard, foam/sponge, Tissue paper (green), Festive string, sharpie, glue

How to make it:Β

First, glue thin bits of sponge/foam in between two squares of cardboard to make the ‘board’.

Then use some glue to wrap the board in tissue paper (I used festive green)

Then use some string (mine is a lovely sparkly gold) and glue it around the edge, and use some different string to make a grid (9×9).

And to make the counters, cut 9 circles of cardboard and write Xs and OS on them! Done!
